His real name was Paul Jay Bickley, but there is evidence (in the 1910-11 Sandusky City Directory) that he may have gone by Jay P. Bickley at some point. The Ancestry.com database (probably available at your local library) shows his birthdate as Aug. 1, 1892 on his military registration card, signed June 5, 1917. The other information you have matches exactly, so I feel sure that you have the right person.Sandusky Library Archives Research Centerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02846774131566300889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27226233.post-30013502947884476462007-05-03T17:49:00.000-04:002007-05-03T17:49:00.000-04:00I am a native Sanduskian, with many Bickleys in my...I am a native Sanduskian, with many Bickleys in my family tree, including Charles Sylvester & Elizabeth (Spencer) Bickley, who lived at 1138 2nd St. in 1920. In my data, I have a son with them, Jay E. Bickley, born August 1892. Can anyone tell me if this is the same person as Paul in the article? I have Jay enlisting 23 July 1917. I am wondering if I should change the name in my files.<BR/>Wayne P.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
