Wild guess...corner of Hancock and East Monroe Streets...
I guess this one was too easy. My fault -- even though I read the address correctly, I pictured in my mind a different intersection.
It is the intersection of Hancock and East Monroe Streets. The building on the south corner is the same, and maybe the one on the north corner, too (with a lot of renovation).
In the 1940's the building on the south side was Otto's Ice Cream store.zooring the 1950's
Message was garbled. the building on the north side was a drug store during the 1950's
